Battery Housing Installation

The battery installation design was Pops’ idea. We decided that we would do what we did with the water tank, and install them under the chassis with steel support, as they weigh about 60 lbs each. Like the water tank we were able to wrap them in insulation to protect from freezing in winter weather. All six batteries were installed with wooden platforms and steel support underneath, and cutouts for the terminals up top. We placed them in the best way we could to be able to wire them together in series and in parallel, and have covered the terminals for now to protect from debris getting at them before we have a chance to wire them up to the charge controller. So here they will live dormant, until we are ready to connect all of the electrical components.
